What do merry go-rounds, roller-coasters and ballet dancers all have in common? They spin! Although these activities may be enjoyable, they often leave us feeling dizzy and disoriented.

Interestingly enough, dancers can avoid dizziness during pirouetting (spinning) by using a technique called “spotting”. This technique requires dancers to fix their eyes on one “spot”, thus reducing the sensations of dizziness and disorientation!

This life can present us with situations and people that make our head spin. Sometimes pressures come that seem to disorient, confuse, worry and even overwhelm us.
Fortunately, God has given us a spiritual “spotting” technique.
Hebrews 12:2 tells us that we are to “…keep our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.”

When we fix our eyes on Jesus, worry, confusion, and disorientation cease.
And as a special bonus, God puts peace, clarity, wisdom and joy in their place!
So let’s continue to keep our eyes on THE “Spot”. Let’s fix our eyes on Christ!
